50’s and retro continues in popularity, you can pay a small fortune for mid century vintage furniture and decor items from big name designers but there are plenty of affordable genuine 50’s items available on sites like eBay.com and Etsy to add a vintage touch to your home.

The Ricardo’s kitchen decor from the “I love Lucy” series starring Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz  always catches my eye when i watch the reruns If you look closely at the decor props you may notice some items that are not part of today’s kitchen.  Items like the metal breadbox and wall mounted matchbox holder and wall mounted lidded saltbox were once essential items but now such artifacts are collector items.
